WHAT IS GEOTHERMAL ENERGY?

Geothermal (means geo-earth, thermal-heat) is hot water, steam and gases containing chemicals, formed by heat accumulated in various depths of the earth's crust. Geothermal energy also includes benefiting directly or indirectly from these geothermal resources and the energy they generate. Geothermal energy is a new, renewable, sustainable, inexhaustible, cheap, reliable, environmentally friendly, domestic and green type of energy.

WHAT IS WIND ENERGY?

Wind is the motion (kinetic) energy of the air flow that creates the wind. Some of this energy can be converted into useful mechanical or electrical energy. The use of the power of the wind dates back to ancient times. Sailing ships and windmills can be shown as the first way to benefit from wind power. Later, wind power was used for grain grinding, water pumping and wood cutting. Today, it is mostly used to generate electricity.

WHAT IS A HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT?

The potential energy of a fluid (water) with some height is called hydraulic energy. The new electrical energy obtained by first converting this energy into mechanical energy with various mechanisms and then into electrical energy is called hydroelectric energy. In short, the water, which has gained a certain level naturally or artificially, is transmitted to the lower level turbines, the water hitting the turbine wheels with great speed rotates the turbine shaft, and thus the generator runs and electricity is produced. The places where these mechanisms are made are dams. The facilities where this transformation is made are called hydroelectric power plants with its general name.

WHAT IS A SOLAR POWER PLANT?

Solar power plants are power plants that convert energy particles from sunlight into electrical energy. Solar cells are used in power plants, similar to those in calculators, but in larger sizes. Solar cells are photovoltaic. They convert incoming sunlight into electricity. The main material of these batteries is crystalline silicon and gallium arsenide. It is one of the energy production systems of the future as its harm to nature is minimal.
